Cartographers & Treasure Builders

June 8th | Workshop from 9:00-12:00 | Suggested for ages 6-10

Pirates are more than treasure hunters. They are navigators, explorers, storytellers, and mapmakers.

Artists will create a pirate persona, develop their own personal symbol, record discoveries in an explorer's journal, and design an illustrated treasure map complete with landmarks, hazards, and hidden treasure.

Along the way, they'll create a collection of objects and story prompts designed to spark continued adventures long after the workshop ends. The goal is not simply to complete a project, but to leave with ideas, artifacts, and imaginative worlds that can continue growing throughout the summer.

Through drawing, design, storytelling, and creative play, participants will build a world of their own while developing ideas that connect across multiple projects.
