Studio Practice Intensive
June 1–4 | 10:00-1:00 | Ages 12–18
Studio Practice Intensive is designed for students who are ready to spend focused time working like artists. Over four days, students explore prompts, materials, and ideas that encourage experimentation, independence, and creative decision-making.
Rather than following a single project, students develop work through drawing, painting, and mixed media exploration while learning how artists move from early ideas to finished pieces. Emphasis is placed on process, observation, and building confidence in personal artistic voice.
This small-group studio experience is ideal for students who enjoy working more independently and want time to push their skills further in a supportive environment.
$320
All supplies included. Headphones and music devices are allowed to help students build their own studio practice routines. Class takes place from 10:00-1:00 with a short critique break about half way through each day. Students may bring a lunch or snack to eat during critique time if they so choose.
Min: 5 Max: 12
Students will use a variety of tools and materials such as various drawing and painting materials, spray paint, sharp tools, alcohol inks, and more. It is important that students are able to follow directions and use tools and materials responsibly.

Myth Makers: Creatures & Worlds
August 10–14 | Morning Session 9:00-11:00 | Ages 7–12
In Myth Makers, students become world builders, inventing creatures, environments, and stories drawn from their own imaginations. Throughout the week, students design original mythic beings, create habitats and symbolic objects, and develop illustrated pages that bring their worlds to life.
Projects combine drawing, sculpture, and mixed media exploration, encouraging students to experiment while building strong creative problem-solving skills.
Each day adds a new layer to the story, culminating in a collection of work that feels imaginative, personal, and entirely their own.

The Fairy Studio
June 9th | Workshop from 9:00-12:00 | Suggested for ages 6-10
This immersive studio is inspired by the small, hidden worlds kids love to imagine. Artists will design and build their own fairy-inspired creations using sculpture, printmaking, painting, and mixed media.
We’ll experiment with texture, layering, and light-catching materials while creating objects that feel like they belong in a secret garden. Students might work with natural elements, explore sun printing, build small-scale figures, or design tools and treasures fit for a fairy world.
The focus is on thoughtful making — combining careful detail with imaginative ideas. By the end of the morning, each artist will leave with a collection of pieces that feel playful, dimensional, and carefully crafted.

Board Game Design
August 17-20 | Morning Session 9:00-11:00 | Suggested for ages 7–14
Join MAKEart Studios for an exciting 4-day summer art camp where creativity and game design come together. Students will explore storytelling, strategy, and visual design as they craft their own unique board games from start to finish. They will design large-scale, substantial game boards with bold colors, patterns, and themes, then craft, sculpt and personalize original game tokens and supplies. Students will also develop characters, rules, and storylines to bring their games to life and create eye-catching box covers and instructions to complete their projects. This camp is perfect for budding artists, inventors, and problem-solvers who love hands-on fun. Each student will leave with a fully designed board game that’s ready to play and share with family and friends.
This experience is intentionally designed to be repeated. Returning students won’t be recreating last year’s project — they’ll be starting fresh. With stronger foundational skills and a better sense of how games work, they’re often ready to think bigger, add more detail, and take new risks. A second year simply opens the door to a completely different game, built with more confidence and new ideas.
