Introduction to Gouache: MAKEart Virtually Class

Recommended for mature teens and adults

Learn the amazing properties of gouache paint. A highly pigmented paint that glides smooth and occupies a space between watercolor and acrylic, it lends itself to illustrative properties and lets you layer and work with vivid color in unexpected ways.

This class contains 5 themes, with 10 plus video lessons, as well as downloadable worksheets and references. Themes include:

• Layering in Gouache - Making patterns

• Exploring Scandinavian Folk Art Motifs in Gouache

• Magnolia in Gouache

• Desert Landscape

Videos, worksheets and videos will be accessible through a password protected web page, giving students a chance to work at their own pace within the 6 month period

PLEASE NOTE: This is a virtual class, there are no in person meetings and supplies are not provided for this class, please source supplies listed below.

Suggested Supplies: A set of gouache paints, a size 4 or 6 size round paint brush, a smaller brush (around a size2), a palette (an old plate works great), a water cup, paper towels, a variety of paper (watercolor and cardstock).

Registration is by household, feel free to have your living in house family join in as well. After purchase you will be sent a .pdf file with directions on how to access the class webpage.
