Winter Solstice Workshop

Celebrate the magic of the Winter Solstice in this warm and creative workshop. Together, we’ll craft sparkling star ornaments using beads and wire, perfect for decorating, gifting, or hanging in a window to catch the returning light. Inspired by solstice traditions, this workshop honors the turning point of the year when the longest night gives way to the growing brightness of daylight. For centuries, stars have been cherished symbols of hope, renewal, and guidance, reminding us of the light that always follows darkness.

The seasonal fun doesn’t stop there! Students will also roll their own beeswax candles, discovering the cozy textures and natural scents that make this project so special. To round out the experience, each child will create a custom blend of winter simmer potpourri, mixing fragrant spices and natural elements to take home and fill their space with the warm, inviting scents of the season.

As we create, we’ll explore the traditions and lore surrounding the Winter Solstice, celebrating the themes of light, renewal, and togetherness that make this time of year so magical. By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with their own sparkling ornament, a glowing candle, and a fragrant potpourri blend—treasures that capture the warmth and wonder of winter.
