This plan explains step by step instructions for students to each make their own art portfolio. An item that is useful to have, takes a whole period to do, doesn’t require your art expertise to make, and can be used with every class you teach year after year. The Make an Art Portfolio Substitute Art Lesson Plan includes step by step instructions as well as pictures and includes a prep sheet for you as well as a Class Track Sheet to keep tally of which class has completed the sub plan. This is my go to sub plan every year. I prep for it before school starts and then leave it behind with any class as I’m called out for meetings or out sick or at a conference.
