Intro to Watercolors
Treat yourself to some structured creative time. Join other adults in the journey of stretching your inner artist. This studio is a beginner art class for the adult that always wanted to do more than stick figures.
This studio time will be spent familiarizing the student with beginning watercolor techniques. Students will be exposed to a variety of practices and materials that will help them become more comfortable working with what has been described by some as painting with light. We will learn about basic supplies and tools and how to create textures, layer in shadows, create highlights, and use atmospheric perspective to our advantage when using watercolors. A variety of subject matter will be broached, hopefully spurred on by student interest.
